I came home from work to this sitting in my Outlook inbox:

"Your entry for IRONMAN CANADA has been received and is pending approval. Please check the information that follows for accuracy and notify Ironman North America at admin@ironmanusa.com if corrections need to be made."

Not sure what "pending approval" means. Probably means waiting for the cheque to clear. But it looks like this is the jumping off point.
