I really thought we were going to get away with it
I really truly thought that we were going to get through this 'winter' without any snow. The thought made me positively giddy. But, overnight Sunday we got some precipitation that was kind of like snow, but more like ice pellets, which became freezing rain, which became snow. So, let the gumbling begin. I have no issues with the cold. I just have issues with footing. As someone that does not drive and tries not to take the TTC (I'm cheap!) getting around starts to become difficult. Of course, it wouldn't be difficult if people would just shovel their freakin' walks.
As someone who is able bodied, I shudder to think what getting around in this city would be like if you were elderly and required a cane, or were trying to push a baby stoller, or you were blind...
I managed to stumble/run to the gym this morning and swim 1600 yards. I was pleasantly surprised when I got there and saw that the set I thought was 4 x 400 yards was ACTUALLY 4 x 200 yards.
Meeting my run group for a slog through the slush this evening.
Stay warm everyone!
